Plantain Lily, Funkia, (Hosta sieboldiana)

Description: These perennials are spectacular clumps of handsome metallic blue-green seerscukered leaves. In July and August they produce lilac-white trumpet-shaped flowers. Sure to attract attention, hostas are excellent ground cover plants, especially in damp or shady positions.
Size: 2 ft x 4 ft
Climate: part sun Ñ shade with rich, humusy, moist soil
History: Native to China and Japan. Hybridizers have produced hundreds of exciting crosses.
